The last couple of months I have been in a little bit of a reading slump. I hit my target of 60 books to read on Good Reads and then I just found myself not reading as much. The reading slump has also coincided with my mental health not being at its best. I have found myself getting lower and lower and thus the pages being read has got fewer. I think a lot of it has to do with my concentration. When I'm like this, I find my mind wandering and I Have a short attention span. I get impatient so reading long books becomes abit of a chore. I find , instead of reading , I prefer to just watch television or movies. It is my way of unwinding. However, I love to read and I know reading is good for me, so even though I may not read loads I still pursue, knowing that at anytime, I will start to feel better again.
