So readers, I am still in a reading funk.
I only managed to read One book in July and that was Big Stone Gap as my previous blog post.
Although this was a re read, I had forgotten quite abit of it. I loved re-discovering the characters and the settings. It is a lovely book and I can't wait to continue the rest of the Big Stone Gap series in the coming months.
My goal for August is to finish the other books I have been attempting over the last couple of months.
I am probably three quarters through Clap when I Land by Elizabeth Acevedo, about half way through The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman and probably about 20% of Girl, Woman, Other by Bernadine Everisto.
My goal is to complete these three books in August
I want to start a fresh in September and be ready to read more books going into the Autumn season.
September is my birthday month and I see that as a new year for me, where I can re commit myself to reading abit more and reset my goals and aspirations for the coming year.
Work wise, I went back to work after a little period of furlough leave. Getting back into some sort of normality in these crazy times.
I am doing more crafts and as you can see I have been posting some of my makes here on this blog. I want to continue to do that and get more into a regular schedules of blog posts.
July has been a fairly quiet month. My brother and sister in law came up in July once we were able to visit people which was so lovely as we haven't seen them since early March. We also visited Mr A's Dad and partner as we were able to sit in the garden. We are still yet to see Mr A's Mum, Step Dad and brother. We also visited a couple of set of friends, all within recommended social distancing guidelines. It's just so strange you can not hug as you would normally do.
I am hoping that the summer continues to be nice and things will start to be a little easier for the whole world in terms of Covid although news reports does suggest parts of the world are seeing spikes in new cases and could be seen as going through a second wave.
Stay safe my friends and happy reading, crafting and life in general
Love Lesley xx
