Kiwillow Reads and Crafts

Today's make uses strips of the Stampin Up 2020-2022 In Colour DSP.  I cut out the flowers using the Dies for the Special Someone stamp set and used the In Colour gems to accent the flowers.  I used the papers in Bumblebee, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight and Magenta Madness on the Cinnamon Cider card base.  I stamped the envelope using a stamp from the Special Someone stamp set, as well as the sentiment on both the inside and outside of card. I am loving the Stampin Up In Colours this year.  My favourite is Bumblebee followed by Just Jade. Wishing you a great Sunday Love Lesley xx 

  One of the benefits of joining Stampin Up as a demonstrator is you become a member of a community of other demonstrators.  I am part of the Stampin Senoritas and last night was our Team meeting via Zoom.   The above photos are the makes we did.  I used stamps from the Banner Year stamp set in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue.  I stamped them using Cinnamon Cider, Bumblebee and Crumb Cake inks .  Card stock was crumb cake and Whisper White. I really enjoyed the evening and I am pleased with how the card and wallet turned out. I can't wait for the next meeting. Love Lesley xx

  The above and below photos is of a Mini album I recently made using a very Old K and Company mini album kit I found when tidying my craft room. I just added a few photos of Mr A. Nice and simple.

Today's make again uses Stampin Up 2020-2022 In Colour Paper in Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee.  The flower is from the Jar of Flowers stamp set.  I coloured them in using Just Jade, Bumblebee and Magenta Madness Ink .  The sentiment is from the Someone Special stamp set also Stampin Up.  I just added some yellow gems from my stash and stamped the image onto the envelope for an added extra.  This card is for a colleague of mine for her upcoming birthday.  Wishing you a happy Sunday Love Lesley xx 

So to get myself out of my reading slump, I have decided to return to an old favourite author of mine and start re-reading her books again.  I love Adriana Trigiani and Big Stone Gap was the first book of hers I read.  Her books are so cozy, full of characters and she just writes so beautifully. Big Stone Gap is the first in her Big Gap series and I have decided to start with this lovely book.  Hopefully it will kick start my reading again. I'll let you know how I get on. Today's make is using the new Stampin Up Jar of Flowers stamp set with the 2020-2021 In Colours Designer Series Paper in  Misty Moonlight. I stamped the image in Misty Moonlight and  I coloured the flowers using some felt tip pens and I used an old Hobby craft butterfly punch and yellow gems from my stash. I am really pleased with this card as it has been a long time since I have made one.  The stamp set is so lovely and versatile and comes with a Jar punch (although I totally forgot to use it for this card). In June I did not read one book and to be totally honest I have lost my reading mojo.  I have created a lovely reading space in my second bedroom and I am surrounded by loads of books, but I just haven't been in the mood to read at all.  I am still to finish reading The Amber Spyglass and Girl, Woman, Other, which I started two months ago, but I don't think I've read any pages in weeks.  I didn't even read my book club read for the month. I think the reasons I haven't been reading is that I have been sorting out the house whilst I have been on furlough leave (I returned back to work 29th June), and that I have been occupying spare time to watching craft videos.   I'm sure I'll get back into reading soon but I don't want to put any pressure on myself to feel as if I have to read, so for July I am not doing a TBR for the month.  If I do read a book or complete the books I've already got on the go , then that will be a bonus. Wishin...
